Recorded to iphone using sennheiser ambeo smart headset (binaural mic). Recorded up-close, in an art gallery. Occasional soft gallery ambience can be heard. Recorded at moma in nyc on april 21, 2021.

I stopped along a bike ride in order to record the sound of monument creek. In this recording, the phone mic was a few inches above the water, and i was about twenty feet from a set of mild rapids.

Well, i wanted to do add a sound to my recording of a chicken in a barn. I put the mic (zoom h2 - 4ch-around) outside on the ground and threw some corn around it, so that the chickens will walk around it and hopefully make some noise. The chickens are very chilled, so there are just clucking smoothly and you can hear them walking around. Further there some flies flying close to the mic, some birds and stuff. . . :-).

Apple imac is a silent computer. I don't hear almost any noise from it, but i tried giving a microphone-sweep over the screen, which surprised me. You can hear various kinds of noise in a close audition. A dynamic mic.

Vintage 1976 cloth top vw bug. I searched the database for this sound with no luck. Luckily i had some friends that could help me out. 2 people (my friends terese and jb) opened and closed the cloth top while i sat in the passenger side recording. I used a zoom h6 with the the xyh-6 mic at 24 bit 48k.

I recorded this sound at the steam-locomotives preservation park in kyoto, japan. Roar of steam whistle was much louder than i had imagined, so it was necessary to set the gain level of mic-preamp carefully. Using at825 and fr-2.

Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door and aimed slightly off-axis so as to capture more of the natural room sound/reverb. I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed on-axis for a more direct recording (it still has a slight bit of room sound - that was what i wanted for these two recordings). Recorded into a tascam 208i audio interface and into adobe audition. Very minor processing (low-cut at 80hz to remove low-freq rumble).

Sound created by me on audacity. It was recorded using my blue yeti microphone. All i did was take my wireless mouse and put it as close to my mic as possible. You don't have to do this, but i would like for you to tell me what its being used for if it is not too much trouble.

A sound of an umbrella handle expanding and retracting, making clicking sounds. Great for foley and sound design. Recorded with a tascam tm-80 in a non sound proofed room, without an anti-pop filter. The umbrella was fairly close from the mic during recording. The post-processing was minor, just an eq to cut out some of the superfluous low frequencies. Dry ice dumped in a small fountain and recorded with an r-09hr. The bubbles sound very frantic and are continuous. I couldn't get too close, or else the splashing would have entered the mic capsules. It is a very clear sound nonetheless.

A room tone attic in ostend, belgium. Construction and scaffold building across the street. Occasional car passing. The windows were closed but it’s only single layered glass. At 3:06 you can hear my feet moving (sorry about that). Recorded with tascam dr 701d en rode ntg 3 (shotgun type mic).
